Quality saunas

Take a moment out of your day to recharge your batteries and find yourself in a space where all your olfactory senses are awakened. With your eyes closed, the essence of spruce transports you to the edge of psychic relaxation. After all, that's where you leave your stress behind.

The spruce we use transforms every France Sauna cabin into a welcoming space. Its light color and fine grain convey a natural softness.

Spruce is an extremely stable wood, perfectly suited to the high temperatures and humid environment of a sauna, whether steam or infrared. It has unique antifungal and antibacterial properties.

The spruce we use to manufacture our sauna cabins comes from sustainably managed forests.

The different technologies

Steam

Traditional sauna

In a steam sauna, you perpetuate the great Scandinavian tradition of using a lava-stone stove to heat the cabin. The cabin's extremely hot ambient air envelops your entire body. The sweat it releases eliminates all accumulated toxins. You emerge from your session detoxified, your skin exfoliated and soft.

You feel surprisingly de-stressed. That's the effect of heat. It helps us produce endorphins, the feel-good hormone. Remember to alternate your time in the sauna with a cold shower to activate blood circulation.

All France Sauna traditional saunas are equipped with an electric heater, the main element used to heat the cabin. These are sized according to sauna capacity, from 3,500 W to 8,000 W. Allow 30 to 45 minutes for heating before starting your session.

The ambient temperature in the cabin varies between 65°C and 85°C. This warm air warms the body. Take a break every 3 to 5 minutes for a full session of 15 to 30 minutes. A cool shower after each break stimulates blood circulation.

The heat produced in a traditional sauna is dry heat; steam refers to the effect of water poured over lava stones to control temperature. It is therefore advisable to take a few minutes' break during your session to hydrate.

Infrared

The detox sauna

Your infrared sauna offers you all the benefits of the sun's "good" rays, which bring that gentle warmth to the skin that does so much good.

While the carbon rays envelop the cabin in soothing warmth, the quartz and magnesium rays transform into targeted heat on contact with the skin. Acting at the heart of your system, they relieve tension and relax muscles and joints. You benefit from the detoxifying effects of sweating, without being subjected to excessively high ambient heat. A true bubble of well-being.

The infrared sauna heats your body directly, using infrared panels evenly distributed throughout the cabin. The heat of an infrared sauna is lower than that of a steam sauna, between 40°C and 60°C.

Our saunas are equipped with quartz, magnesium and carbon infrared panels for optimum durability and more even distribution throughout the sauna cabin.

Infrared saunas emit totally dry heat that penetrates deep into the skin. This heat, much gentler than that of a steam sauna, enables users to stay longer in the cabin to enhance the benefits, and to pursue an activity such as reading during the session.

It has the advantage of a very short heat-up time, around 15 minutes, and lower power consumption than a steam sauna, from 1,200 to 3,000 W depending on the model.

The 3 infrared technologies

Dual Healthy
Quartz + Magnésium

The Full Spectrum Quartz emitter and the Magnesium emitter can be selected by the user.
Magnesium emits mainly IR-C waves that stimulate the epidermis. Renowned for their purifying properties, they act on the surface to promote sweating and deep detoxification of the skin.
Magnesium requires a longer start-up time. It produces a comforting, enveloping warmth.

Full Spectrum Quartz

This technology heats up almost instantly, providing gentle, targeted warmth.
Quartz emits across the entire infrared spectrum, with a majority of IR-A and B waves. As short waves, they act at the very heart of the musculo-articular system, providing deep relief for the whole body for intense relaxation sessions.

Carbone

Carbon is unique in its ability to provide a broad, uniform heat response throughout the cabin. Emitting type C infrared rays, their start-up time is very short, enabling the cabin to be brought up to temperature quickly.
Through this panel, it is the wood that is heated; the heat produced dissipates very little into the air. This produces long C-type infrared rays, enabling heat to be widely distributed in a very short time, for an immediate effect that really relaxes the body.
